Lego Site Hacked By Crypto Scammers
In the world of cybersecurity crypto and cybercrime are synonymous. Thanks to the anonymity provided by cryptocurrencies, it is often used to facilitate monetizing crime and the latest victim was the LEGO website.
From 9am EDT on October 5th, the main landing page of the LEGO website was changed by crypto scammers, as it was now promoting a new LEGO crypto token you could purchase with Ethereum.
The changes to the website where active for about an hour, after which users on Reddit reported that the crypto links had been removed and the site restored to its original state.

No user accounts have been compromised, and customers can continue shopping as usual. The cause has been identified and we are implementing measures to prevent this from happening again."
